Most people give up just when
they’re about to achieve success.
They quit on the one-yard line.
They give up at the last minute of the
game, one foot from
a winning touchdown.

Teenagers have been known to drop
out of school one year before they
graduate. Adults drop out of college
just before they earn their degree.
We start to lose weight and decide
it’s too hard, so six months down the
road we’ve gained it all back plus ten
pounds more.

We start writing every day but think,
“What’s the use? It will never get
published anyway.”

Today: I will stick with it until I
achieve a “touchdown.”
