A job is what we do for money;
work is what we do for love.

Mel Tormé in an interview was
asked if he had a reason to write a
certain song. He said, “Not really, I
would keep writing songs even if no
one sang them except myself.”
Writing songs, for him, was
something he needed to do. It was in
his nature to compose music, even if
no one else would ever hear his song.
He wrote music for love, not for
money. Although, he probably made
a lot of money doing it.
Do you write for love or the hopes
that you’ll make lots of money?
Today: I’ll do what I love.
